Hey Tower Genius what's the difference the AT&T Lease expiration program (LEP) and the AT&T Wireless Lease Optimization Program (LOP) ? What if they sent me a LEP letter and a LOP letter on the same rooftop cell site? The LOP letter expired 60 days ago from Blackdot, and it said they are considering upgrading my site to 4G LTE technology, but the LEP letter from Md7 is valid for another 60 days but it did not say anything about the LTE enhancement. What should I do? LEP or LOP? This is confusing. Calgon take me away.
To LEP or to LOP that is the question. by: Tower Genius
Fran everything in this industry is site specific, based on supply and demand. We will have to look at your site. The LOP lease optimization program is a rent reduction proposal and amendment that they pressure landlords to agree to which lower your rent, save them money and guarantee that they won't terminate your lease for 5 or 10 years.
The LEP lease expiration program is only for sites that have less than 2 years remaining on their leases. Let's take a look at your site an d figure out what options they have if they need to move to a different location.
