I would like to know the value of the location of where Verizon wants to build a tower on our land. There are only 2 of their towers here in Marshalltown, IA now. This one would be out on land that we rent for crops. Any information would be helpful. The site acquisition person wants us to counter offer his 5,000 a year for a 25 year lease today or tomorrow. Any help will be appreciated.
I live in edmonds wa which is a suburb of Seattle. The cell tower is in and on my property. Wouldn't it be expensive to move it? Just don't think I am getting great deal. I called the 888 number left message but no one got back to me.
Editor's Note: I think this was from the caller "Chris" from Tuesday.
Look Chris, the reason we did not call you back is that you said in your voice message that "the tower is not up for renegotiation" but that you want to get more money out of it. I can't waive my magic wireless wand and go "poof" and create a negotiation situation where there is probably no way to negotiate a deal, just because you feel that you aren't getting a good deal. We get so many calls from people chasing rainbows and kicking tires that we have to filter out the calls and focus on the wireless landlords who have active deals. I hope you can appreciate that. Thanks.

Verizon tower in rural Iowa by: Tower Genius
You are lucky if you get $600 or $700 dollars. If Verizon has the chance to get the property owner across the street to take $500 or less they will go there. Not too much you can do as far as the terms unless you own a huge amount of land and they have not other choice than to work fairly with you. Do not agree to more than a 25 year deal, try to get 3% annual escalations, and make sure they don't try to steal your farm with their sneaky Right of First refusal language.
