Cell tower lease rates in California by: Tower Genius
A follow up to our response is that there is a very wide range in the cell tower rental prices we have seen throughout California. Everything has to do with what a specific carrier is trying to cover, the availability of sites, and the ability of the landlord to recognize what kind of leverage they have.
Example in the Dublin, California vicinity...
AT&T was paying $2,000 per month for a tower lease. Verizon Wireless would not pay more than $1,100 for the next tower which was about 3/4 of a mile from the AT&T site.
We have seen leases as low as $100 per MONTH in California and higher than $40,000 per year. So it really depends on where the site is and what is being covered.
This is why you need to have a professional help you. The carriers do not have transparent pricing. We can help you to determine the actual values.
