Cell Tower Leasing; Property Owners Rights

by Brian
(Albuquerque, NM, USA)

Hi:
I live near a cell tower. I always thought that it was on public property. However, I have received three calls in recent years from companies wishing to take over my lease -- it is surprising to them that I do not have a lease with the cell provider.
I do not understand what rights I might have or what my options are, if I have any claim at all. If you could get back with me, I would be pleased to provide you with the tower's location.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Brian
