We were contacted by Verzion a couple of months ago about putting a tower on our land. They came and took pictures and said they would be back in contact with us with a lease, but we have not heard anything since is this normal? What can we expect next if anything? Do they just contact landowners and then not follow thru?
Comments for Contacted about putting a tower on land
Initially they will look at multiple properties. When they are serious they will bring an A.E. (architctural engineering firm) out to walk the property and come up with a design. Whatever you do... never sign a letter of intent. In some states in can be binding. Tell them to send you the proposed site plan and a lease and that you are interested. Nothing more.

Same with me. One of their employees showed up at my house in August. I didn't hear from them until Oct 28. The next week there was 5 of them here to walk my property. The following Wednesday the surveyors showed up. I didn't know they were coming. They came back this past Monday.

I think this is typical behavior. They are not concerned with you until they absolutely have to have you involved. They may also be looking at other sites. I would call them and ask them what is going on. It's rude to leave you hanging.
I myself am still waiting on an answer from American Tower. I have unanswered emails and I think it's rude and unprofessional. But guess what? They don't care.
