COW - Cell On Wheels - Inland Cellular
Inland Cellular C.O.W. = Cell On Wheels (not an actual cow - although there are probably more cows in Grangeville than there are people).
Inland Cellular is a small regional cellular carrier serving the Idaho Panhandle.
They brought in a temporary COW portable cell on wheels to provide additional coverage and capacity at the 2019 Border Days Celebration in Grangeville, Idaho July 4th, 5th and 6th 2019. The population of Grangeville, ID, the county seat grows from about 3,000 to 20,000 during Border Days. They need the additional portable cell site to support all the additional calls.
Some of the Border Day activities that attract so many people include 3 days of egg tosses (2,000+ participants) , 3 days of July 4th parades and 3 nights of rodeo.
If you want to experience what America was like 50 to 75 years ago, visit Grangeville Idaho during their Independence Day - Border Day Celebrations. Book your hotel room WELL in advance.
