At&t has our area seen up..from DirecTV..to internet..and cell phone..we are told ..all the towers are At&T...so hubby and I have 15 acres..not really being used..we would allow T-mkbime to put a tower here..if they could..Deep East Texas .San Augustine County...Broaddus Tx FM 83.

There are no monopolies, however there are vast areas of rural America that Verizon Wireless and AT&T provide superior coverage when compared to T-Mobile for example.

Are there certain areas where a single tower company own all of the cell towers within the area and in a sense have a local monopoly on the area and charge customers a premium contract on that particular area?

Often times cell towers from competing tower companies are located right next to each other on the same parcel. And sometimes a tower company will own two or three single carrier towers right next to each other.
