I have been waiting for 3 years they can not make their minds up. I have someone wanting to buy property. I keep waiting and I keep getting no information on what is taking so long. I have signed papers and everything was a go then it just stalled ? Is this normal? They tell me they are to the point of building which has be 18 months long ? Thanks Jackie
Comments for How long should one wait on verizon to build
Yes it's normal. They get you to sign and then they will not sign until they feel like it. Primary motivation is to not have to pay you a dime until they are ready. They sit on information waiting for you to come crawling and begging. Then they have the upper hand and you will do what ever they want. Technically you do not have a deal until they sign, I'd threaten to sell or tell them you have a purchase agreement and you need signed copy from them. It's the only way. They are crooks you have made a deal with the devil. Good luck to you.

Has your Verizon lease option expired? by: Tower Genius
Many times the carrier puts a cell site on hold for a variety of reasons. This happens all the time in the industry. In particular Verizon Wireless has not been building very many cell tower in the past 2 years due to their focus on upgrading existing cell sites for capacity, so this is not surprising. Sometimes it is simply a matter of a real estate manager wanting to make Vice President so they go out and try to find an alternate site for less money. Go down to your building and zoning department and find out if Verizon Wireless or a cell tower developer have applied for zoning or building permits close to where your property is answered and you may have the answer.
