Hi I have approx 50 acres in eastern ky with ridgeline access I work for the wireless industry and know how gaps in coverage go and can tell where things may end up to an extent of course. I am looking to find a tower company to lease a piece of this land too. Can you give me any advice on where to start? I am in a gap with AT&T and am in the heart of Appalachian wireless and prepaid country.
Derek you need to tell the carriers about the coverage gaps and offer your property to them. You should also not limit yourself to only AT&T. You should contact Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile and Sprint. Additionally you should contact American Tower, Crown Castle and SBA Communications.
If you look at the top left here on our website there is a button that says "Get a Cell Site". Go to that page, bookmark it to your favorites so you can come back from time to time. I have links to the real estate departments at the above-mentioned culprits and you can contact the cell tower groups that would look at your property.
