Rent reduction?? or Buy out American Tower md7

American Tower has sent a letter (to us, the landlord) stating our site has been identified as a "Modification Necessary" site where changes have been identified that are necessary to maintain tenancy.

Talked with MD7 consultant with American tower, he stated we have two options:
1. Rent reduction
2. Buyout

American Tower is stating if we choose not to participate in this program this site will be reviewed for alternate strategies including but not limited to potential relocation and/per termination of the site if permitted under the Lease.

Anybody else received this letter??

Rental Reduction Call

Got a call today (12-1-21) that our site had been "flagged" as being too expensive and, despite a contract that is supposed to be with American Tower through 2031, we were told that we need to be amenable to renegotiation or the tenants (AT&T and Verizon) would probably relocate. They are looking at probably an 80% reduction in rental rate.

Yes received same instructions from md7. Will not reduce my lease. I said American tower can return the lease to Verizon and they can decide what to do.

Option 3...

Do nothing and tell them to stop harassing you. If they want to terminate your site they should send your official notice of termination.
