Tower Genius does not pay for BBB rating. by: Steve from Tower Genius
Gary. Thanks for the comment. Here's the bottom line on BBB. We don't pay for a third party to certify our business that knows nothing about our industry.
BBB listings are okay if you are a local mechanic or electrician and you are providing services in a local community. In that instance I can see where paying for a BBB listing can be helpful.
Personally, I had a contractor build me a house in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York State in about 2003. That snake defrauded me and about five other families. He is a convicted felon today because of his actions, but you would have never known it by the BBB rating that he had. So that's why I don't believe in paying a company or organization to tell consumers if we are "legit".
If we suck as a company then you will surely read about it somewhere online. And if we are good at what we do, hopefully clients will possibly leave a good comment about us somewhere.
