Verizon interested in installing antennas on our property

Hi, We have been approached by Verizon about possibly installing "small antennas" on one of our properties. They are basically trying to setup a meeting to survey our property to see what the options are. Should I be concerned about the radiation from the antennas being close to our tenants if they are to be installed on the building tops? If not how do I go about figuring out if we are getting a fair monthly rental fee? While we are on that subject how do you charge a fee? Thank you for your time. Rob Burton

Rob if you have questions about EMF emissions you should ask Verizon to provide that information to you. They are located on hundred of rooftops so my answer is "don't worry", but it's better to get that from them.
Now if Verizon had their way they would pay you virtually nothing for putting a small antenna installation on your roof. Most of the time it's not even worth the money for the amount of hassle that is involved. One of their forward thinking wireless geniuses came up with the idea of building out small cells, except they forgot that they still need to pay landlords a fair rental price. Remember, they will try to base the price on number of antennas and smaller footprint (less square feet), but it's all about the privilege of having access to your rooftop.
