Verizon called my husband 3 and a half years ago about building a tower on some land he had in Colorado. We did everything they have wanted up to having insurance ready to set up for site. They were supposed to start on it August 2017. Our first lease payment was to start this month. They called this morning August 7, 2017 to tell us they were pushing it back to August 2018. The agent calling my husband said he didn't know why my husband thought it was supposed to be this month and my husband said because we signed a contract saying it would start this month. What is wrong with this company. They have led us on for 3 years. Now this we were planning on those payments because they made us believe in them. It was a sure deal we had signed papers and they had sent us alittle good faith money. Its just been one lie after another the whole way. I'm sorry just got on the computer and found this sight just to blows steam. I know no one can help us now but maybe this will be a warning for someone else.
Kay sorry the frustrating experience that you are having. Often times Verizon puts deals on hold for a year or two and they move the monies allocated for one project over to another.
Is your lease / option agreement with Verizon or is it with a tower developer who is building the tower for Verizon's use?
Did you sign a lease option? And how many years was that option period for?
Please contact us here at Tower Genius and send us your lease so that we can help explain to you what may be going on.
