My parents have a cell tower on their property, last week 3 men showed up and stripped it of the light on top and all the wiring. They called US cellular who owns the tower and also Sprint who uses the tower no one has called them back. who should they really talk to about this? I checked both of the websites for these companies and it states the towers are working. I asked my dad why he didn't call the police when the men were stripping the tower ( he is elderly) he said he didn't think about it because they had a key to get in the gate. The truck they were in was not marked either is this normal and who should they call to get answers?
Send them official notice... by: Sean (Tower Genius)
Review the lease. There will be an official notice section with an address. Send them a letter, as per the directions outlined in the agreement. This notice will find its way to their law department who will act on the information.
Also, look at the front of the gate to the site. Is there an emergency number on a sign for US cellular? if so, contact that number which should be their operations group who is responsible for maintaining the tower. They should be very concerned if FAA lighting was removed from the site.
